The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
