Major Russian Attacks Eliminate Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced problems to water supplies, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has increased assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the United States, European nations and the G7 - in providing protection systems and applying restrictions," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles damaged electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

The assaults follow evenings of aerial attacks in the area, parts of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already affecting energy systems.

He said energy workers and officials were anticipating additional strikes.
